With Eagles starters sitting out, Michael Vick, Kevin Kolb and others will take over
Tonight's firs t half could be just as uneventful as last week's for Michael Vick.
But in the second half, Vick will be more than just a wildcat experiment in the Philadelphia Eagles' offense for their final preseason game against the New York Jets tonight in the Meadowlands.
He will take the more traditional snaps from behind center, which will allow him to better demonstrate his arm strength, pocket movement and command of the offense.
Last week, Vick played six snaps in the Eagles' home game against Jacksonville and completed 4 of 4 passes for 19 yards and had one rushing attempt off a blown play that netted 1 yard.
Coach Andy Reid has higher expectations tonight for his high-profile backup quarterback.
''I think you'll see him probably play a little faster this week than he did last week,'' Reid said Tuesday after practice at the team's NovaCare Complex. ''It was just a matter of getting him acclimated back into the speed of the game, and then this week he'll have a chance to get in and get a few more reps.
''He had a good week of practice. He's worked very hard, so I would expect good things from him.''
