Eagles versus Saints Discussion

I have to say, the first half of the game the Eagles looked decent. Not great, just decent. The second half they just fell apart.

Kolb, IMO, looked good throughout the game. He threw well, making good smart moves, getting rid of the ball instead of holding on too long and taking a sack, etc....

The thing that killed the Birds was the defense and the Special teams. Horrible throughout the game. That, IMO is why they lost.

The Saints are not that good of a team but by beating Detroit last week and us this week they are looking like a good strong team. I don't think, based on what I saw, that they are as good as their scoring against us and the lions show them to be. There are big holes in their defensive secondary that we shoud have used to our advantage and didn't.

Why is it that the Special Teams always seem to be the thing that kills the Eagles. Every year. Every season. Special teams suck.

and add to that, Westbrook may be injured

Kolb played well enough to get another start, if need be. I'd have no problem putting him out there...given the week to practice, of course.

Too many miscues all over the place.

It started for me when we had the ball with 1:40 to go in the first half. Couldn't get a first down. Saints used their last time out after the Eagles 2nd down. Couldn't get a 3rd and 5 and had to punt after using only 11 seconds on the play clock for the drive and had to punt.

Then the Saints march down and score a TD.

There's blame to go around everywhere in this one.
